HCL Technologies Limited has announced a partnership with Hockey Victoria to support the Melbourne Cobras, a new franchise that will debut in Australia’s Hockey One League.
As part of the collaboration, HCLTech will build a digital fan engagement platform for the Melbourne Cobras and Hockey Victoria. The platform will offer features such as live match insights, interactive content, and personalized fan experiences, helping supporters connect more closely with the team and the sport.
The Melbourne Cobras will be the eighth team in Australia’s premier domestic hockey competition, and the franchise plans to include Indian international players along with local Australian talent. The initiative aims to strengthen hockey’s global connection and celebrate cultural diversity in the sport.
HCLTech said the partnership goes beyond traditional sponsorship. The company will use its expertise in building large-scale digital platforms for sports organizations to improve fan engagement and digital experiences.
Hockey Victoria CEO Andrew Skillern said the launch of the Melbourne Cobras marks an important moment for the organization and the sport, adding that the partnership with HCLTech will help create a more innovative and inclusive fan experience.
Shares of HCL Technologies Limited (NSE: HCLTECH) were trading at ₹1,354.60, down ₹6.90 or 0.51% in early trade on March 11. The stock touched a day’s high of ₹1,376.00 and a low of ₹1,348.60, compared to the previous close of ₹1,361.50. The company has a market capitalisation of about ₹3.67 lakh crore, with a 52-week high of ₹1,780.10 and a 52-week low of ₹1,302.75.
