Bharat Forge Launches Advanced Aerospace Facility in Pune with Liebherr

Bharat Forge Limited has launched a state-of-the-art landing gear components machining facility in Pune in partnership with Liebherr‑Aerospace & Transportation SAS.

The new facility will manufacture high-precision landing gear components for the global aerospace industry and marks an important milestone for India’s aerospace manufacturing sector. The plant has been set up at Bharat Forge’s Mundhwa facility in Pune and features advanced machining centres dedicated to producing critical aerospace parts.

With this development, Bharat Forge becomes one of the first companies in India to operate OEM-approved machining capabilities for landing gear components at scale. The company said the initiative will strengthen India’s role in global aerospace supply chains and support the country’s growing manufacturing ecosystem.

Bharat Forge Vice Chairman and Joint Managing Director Amit Kalyani said the partnership with Liebherr-Aerospace represents a major step in the company’s aerospace journey and demonstrates its capability to deliver critical components for global customers.

The company’s aerospace division already produces aero-engine components, airframe structures, turbine parts, compressor components, forged rings, shafts and discs for civil and military aviation programs.

Shares of Bharat Forge Limited (NSE: BHARATFORG) were trading at ₹1,834.80, down ₹7.40 or 0.40% on March 11. The stock touched a day’s high of ₹1,862.80 and a low of ₹1,831.00, compared to the previous close of ₹1,842.20. The company has a market capitalisation of about ₹87,690 crore, while its 52-week high stands at ₹1,935.50 and the 52-week low at ₹919.10.
